mm story
The name Millwood Media pays homage to the young, bright-eyed and bubbly journalist who started her media career two decades ago.
A 17-year-old Rachel Millwood cut her teeth at The Examiner Newspaper after being awarded a cadetship.
She quickly fell in love with storytelling and has become a trusted source of Tasmanian news. She has honed her writing, presentation and production skills across print, radio and television broadcasting, with 20 years of loyal service at both The Examiner and Seven Tasmania, formerly Southern Cross News.
Millwood Media first began operations in 2008 as a freelance writing service and has grown to become a respected and reliable communications consultancy service.
Rachel is married to James and is a proud mother to three busy, beautiful boys – Hamish, Rupert and Edmund. When she is not busy behind a computer or camera, she can be found cheering loudly and proudly on the sidelines at Little Athletics and soccer competitions!
